Admissions Guidance

If you have a child in Year 6, you MUST apply for a place at secondary school with by the deadline of 31 October 2025.

National decision day is Monday 2 March 2026.

In order to enhance your chances of securing a place for your child at one of your preferred schools your application must be lodged via the home authority for where you live, even if your preference[s] are not for schools in your area. For example applying for an East Sussex school when you live within the Brighton and Hove city boundary, it is essential you apply via Brighton and Hove. Applications are then passed between the local authorities using a secure electronic link.

If you are planning to move your child from their current school to our school you will need to make your application via the Local Authority, East Sussex County Council.

If you have been refused a place at Seaford Head School you have the right to have your case considered by an independent appeal panel. The best way to submit an appeal is online by clicking below.
