The Youth Counselling Project is a Seaford-based charity that provides counselling support to children in Seaford. As well as providing much-needed support for children who attend Seaford Head, they also provide this service at the primary schools in the town. This support is vital at any time and during the last 18 months has proved to be invaluable for the 50 students who have benefited from the intervention. The statistics around mental health are extremely concerning, with the NHS predicting that 1 in 6 children in East Sussex will encounter difficulties before the age of 18.
