Our Ethos

Seaford Head is an extremely successful and oversubscribed 11-18 school. We are committed to ensuring that all our children enjoy coming to school and achieve to their full potential. The combination of support and challenge provided by our staff, ensures that all our students make outstanding progress and attain the very highest standards, [based on their individual abilities]. They have access to the very latest technologies and work in a friendly, disciplined environment that is designed to meet the demands of the twenty-first century.

We have very high expectations with regard to attendance, behaviour and uniform and believe that achievement in all areas of school life should be rewarded and celebrated. We challenge our students to excel in academic, cultural and sporting activities.

We are committed to providing an excellent standard of education and a wide range of enrichment opportunities to enable our young people to thrive and develop. This pursuit of excellence is based on a strong, home partnership and we are constantly looking to find new ways to involve parents/carers in their children’s education. We work closely with our children and their parents/carers to ensure the school is offering an educational experience that is both engaging and rewarding.

We encourage our students to become responsible and active citizens who are respectful of others. They are rewarded for making a positive contribution to the life of the school and the wider community. Our ethos is encapsulated by our motto ‘Achieving Excellence Together’ and underpinned by a set of values that all members of the school community abide by.
